Whitewater Guide/Instructor Training Course Cost: $265

Saturday – Sunday, May 19-20, 9am – 4 pm

Australian Canoeing training course for rnteaching skills and leading trips on moving water up to, and including, rnGrade 2 for experienced paddlers. This training course is a strongly rnrecommended pre-requisite for anyone wanting to go for the Australian rnCanoeing Whitewater Instructor Assessment at a future date (1.5 days rnassessment, separate). This is not an introduction to Whitewater rnSkills course (see above 1 day courses for Skills development), but for rnexperienced paddlers looking at demonstrating correct stroke technique rnin an instructing situation on moving water, breaking down and teaching rnstroke technique, whitewater rescue techniques and the requirements for rnWhitewater Guide/Instructor Assessment.

Whitewater Guide/Instructor Assessment Cost: $110 (plus $170 AC registration fee)

May 19-20, Starting 9am Saturday (1.5 days, finishing lunchtime Sunday).

Assessment for the Australian Canoeing rnAward of either Guide or Instructor for guiding/teaching skills and rnleading trips on moving water up to, and including, Grade 2.

Students Whitewater Skills Course (TBC) Cost: $25

Saturday – Sunday, May 19-20, Canoe Course Times by arrangement

Two hour, whitewater skills sessions forrn students run by trainee whitewater instructors working under the rnsupervision of AC qualified whitewater instructors and assessors. Note:rn This section only runs if there are enough participants going for an rnassessed qualification for WWG or WWI – you will be contacted by email rnprior to the course to confirm that this course will be running.

There will also be a $170.00 fee to register your qualification with Paddle Australia for 3 years. You will only be invoiced for your PA registration at the successful completion of your assessment.
