The holder of this award is qualified to guide groups of novices on activity and day based programs
on Flatwater areas such as lakes, dams, slow moving rivers, etc.
Please meet at the Conference room at Westerfolds Park in Templestowe for the classroom theory part of the course for a 9am start on Saturday 18th April
The practical on water component of the course can be done on the Yarra River at Westerfolds Park in Templestowe
The course will consist of 2 halfrndays of off water theory and 2 half days of on water practical training.
Your Instructor will schedule the times depending on the weather and conditions.
Please come prepared with clothing and equipment that you would need if you were taking a group on a river trip.
Your Instructor will go through this equipment and give you feedback and suggestions on this.

Please note that you will be required to complete an assessment after the training and also complete a project within 6 weeks of attending the 1 day assessment.
Once all this is completed you will be required to register with Paddle Australia at a cost of $170.00 per participant for 3 years.
